TSVIT School: Online Ukrainian Language and Culture Learning for Children Abroad

The TSVIT International Online School of Ukrainian Language and Culture is a professional educational platform created specifically for Ukrainian children living abroad. The school helps preserve national identity through the study of Ukrainian language, literature, and culture.

Why Choose the TSVIT Online Ukrainian Language School

Learning Ukrainian for children abroad is becoming an increasingly relevant question for parents who want to maintain their children's connection to their native culture. TSVIT School offers a comprehensive approach to education that combines language learning with immersion in culture and traditions.

Advantages of Learning at TSVIT School

Free trial period. Before starting their studies, parents and children can get acquainted with the school by attending trial classes without any financial obligations.

About the School's Founder

TSVIT School was created by Lesia Duda — PhD, sociolinguist, and mother who is raising children abroad herself. The idea of an international online school was born from her first lectures in 2013 and many years of experience teaching Ukrainian to different age groups.

Lesia Duda worked on international projects researching Ukraine's language policy, created video projects about linguicide and features of children's speech. Her daughter Khrystia, whom Radio Liberty called "the youngest Ukrainian teacher for preschoolers," is also studying at TSVIT School today.

The School's Mission and Values

The school's name has deep symbolic meaning. The word "tsvit" (meaning "bloom" or "flower") conveys the idea of natural development and growth, and also means the best representatives of a particular society. The Ukrainian expression "Our bloom throughout the world" is especially relevant today, when hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian families are forced to stay abroad due to the war.

The school's mission is to help Ukrainian children preserve their national roots through teaching Ukrainian to children abroad, studying culture and literature. The TSVIT team believes that children who are called "children of war" today are actually "children of Victory" — the future of a renewed Ukraine.

Educational Scholarship Program

TSVIT online Ukrainian school for children strives to provide access to quality education for every child, regardless of the family's financial capabilities. To this end, an educational scholarship program operates, which provides partial tuition payment.

Who Can Receive a Scholarship

Priority categories for receiving scholarships are:

  1. Children of Armed Forces of Ukraine servicemembers
  2. Children of Ukrainian volunteers abroad
  3. Children who left Ukraine after the start of the full-scale invasion and are living in difficult family and financial circumstances

The amount of payment and duration of scholarship-based education are determined individually for each family after reviewing the application.
