FAQ

  • At what age can a child join the school?

The "Tsvit" school offers educational programs for children from the age of 4. We form groups ranging in age from 4 to 6, 7 to 9, 10 to 12, and 13+ years. Groups are divided according to the children's age and level of Ukrainian language proficiency.

  • Can adult students and foreigners study at the school?

Who is the Tsvit school for?

    ● For adults and young Ukrainians who live outside of Ukraine, but have Ukraine in their hearts. We will help you preserve your Ukrainian or, if necessary, restore it in your speaking, starting with the basics.
    ● For foreigners who are interested in Ukraine, its culture, history and traditions; who understand that learning the language of the country is the key to the country itself. Studying at our school will help you understand the values of Ukrainians, our historical vicissitudes, and our ways to achieve victories – past and future.

  • How do I register for trial lessons?

To sign up for free trial lessons, you just need to leave your contact details in the "Try for free" registration form in the header of the website. After that, the educational department of our school will contact you to agree on the details of the free lessons schedule.

  • How much do the lessons cost?

The first two lessons are free of charge so that you can get acquainted with the format of our lessons. If you and your child like it, then the cost of further training under the Full Program is $165/month.
The price includes three Ukrainian language lessons per week; additional lessons dedicated to Ukrainian traditions and culture; learning progress monitoring with the assistance of a school psychologist and periodic written reports for parents on their child's progress with personally developed recommendations.
The school also offers a system of discounts and educational grants.

  • What does the study program consist of?

The main emphasis of the study program is on the development of the student's language competence, so the curriculum includes work on expanding vocabulary, correcting pronunciation, reading and listening in Ukrainian. For children with an intermediate level of language proficiency, writing is also taught. The curriculum is thematic: topics are formulated and presented in accordance with the interests and practical communication needs of the student.

Speaking and reading clubs are organized alongside language lessons.

The curriculum is the result of the integration of the NUS (New Ukrainian School) curriculum and the school's own program, based on the methodology of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language and Ukrainian as an inherited language.
